THIS IS HOW WE DO IT.
Clearance, Recoveries & Facilitations started in May 2009 as Chirundu, Recoveries & Facilitation at the Zimbabwean/Zambian border post and operated out of a hotel room at the Chirundu Hotel with one Dell computer and an internet dongle.
The computer and internet allowed us to give tracking updates to our clients showing truck arrival times, document clearing times through customs and truck departure times. We held petty cash for border expenses, and initiated the pre-clearance of documents, which helped transporters avoid having to wait up to three days for clearance.
Our very first client was Leopack Transport, who has almost tripled in size since we started. We successfully developed a specific online system to suit their particular border crossing requirements and we are very proud to still have them as one of our major clients today.
Our Managing Director, Mr. Rory Edward Comins, helped set up the business at the tender age of 26 as he travelled up and down the Chirundu escarpment in his trusty Highrise 2.4 Toyota Hilux. The business expanded to all major border posts and it now operates out of three countries and provides an honest, efficient and reliable service to all its transport partners.
OUR STORY
SHIFTING UP A GEAR...
Visually, our company drive is reflected by gears. These gears not only keep our company and clients moving forward, but they also keep the wheels of our economy turning.
Our original three gears have now evolved into a single graphic gear made up of three parts, displayed in our three new corporate colours.
These three divisions are now clearly understood with our company name spelled out in full, as well as each division operating under its own identity, such as our facilitation units based at the various border posts and recovery posts on the major transport highways.
This smart, new corporate identity has been designed to spearhead the next stage of our company journey.
From now on, we intend to do better, try harder and work smarter until we can all enjoy the benefits of our success.
